Ilay does not care about other people and normally it is just easier to kill anyone who is annoying. So him not killing someone when they are annoying and try to defy him is same as being nice to someone.
But he can learn, maybe. He even apologizes! Rarity in this list.

He will do anything to amuse himself and boredom is his biggest enemy. He will kill a man by ripping of their lower jaw because it is much more interesting way to die than a simple gunshot.
He is hedonistic psychopath who only does not care about pain of others, he most likely can't even understand what suffering is for other beings.
