all time favorite artwork paired with a beautiful story. this one literally has everything from plot to dynamic artwork to smut and all of it is peek execution imo
still ongoing and probably the best gritty manga i've read both from the plot/narrative perspective as well as the art style. and I really appreciate how the author/writer fully commits, whether its the violence, sex, or complex narrative decisions there is no "half-assing" it. everything is cohesive, you can't skip the sex bc the plot progresses through it, the characters are unapologetically themselves whether its Jay's sadistic streak or Shin acknowledging his fear o
love the complex execution of the power dynamics in this one. i've always been a sucker for the "leans cheesy" action flick plots and this one executes it better than a lot of box office hits. i like the clear lean into s/m without ever actually making it about that, it sits naturally in their dynamic whether or not its straight up toxic or they've grown past some of that toxicity the narrative is honest and natural.
one of the most complex and 'blurred lines' dynamics i've read. its hard to pin down when things are straight up toxic rather than just trauma playing out bc both characters actively grow throughout the whole narrative. they're both extremely traumatized and broken individuals that see eachother and actively choose to be better and their relationship develops.
the premise initially made me hesitate but I was pleasantly surprised. loved the narrative all the way through. I do wish they had at the very least gotten one makeout/smut scene not interrupted bc they were interrupted way to many times leave the reader without the satisfaction
gorgeous narrative. loved the way the story was told. this would have ended up higher on my list if every time they got intimate it did feel like the panels were retroactively edited, it actually disrupts the flow/pacing of the story on multiple occasions and its really unfortunate bc it just doesn't read as one that would shy away from explicit content both in the mature themes and the art style.
adorably brutal. love the clash of brutal devotion and adorable fluff. i also love that both characters hold that contrast within themselves not a contrast against eachother.
smutier than my typical favorites but their relationship is so complex and nuanced. also Aaron has my favorite Dom vibes of anyone and i really hope season 3 starts soon.
