Even though it’s a classic in the psycho horror genre, I think it’s still a good idea to mention it here. Monster tells the story of fighting evil(which is a common trope) but the story itself is a unique masterpiece.

What I particularly enjoyed is the approach of the MC's mental health: we truly doubt what the FL says and if what happens is reality or not. Now, where does the 1/2star come from?I hopped the mystery would last longer. After the reveal(which, in my opinion, arrived a little too soon), the tension that was needed for the climax just... Isn't there. Almost a perfect read.

Ok, I know this has a lower rating, but from the psychological point of view, it’ REALLY interesting. It shows us how far a human can go and abandon his morals in order to survive. Might not be one’s first choice, but give it a shot, you won’t regret it.

The story follows a middle school student, Seiichi Osabe, and his relationship with his overprotective mother, who after a certain event, begins to show a darker and horrifying side towards her son.
Marked ongoing but was finished in 2023.
