pining for the piner

Yuri is in love with his adoptive sister, while Lee Sunwoo (his geography teacher) has spent years pining for the man she's about to marry. Years after Yuri graduates high school, the two reconnect at the wedding and find comfort in each other's company as they navigate their respective heartbreaks.

There were plenty of painful and difficult moments along the way, but this was a good read.

Having seen how unrequited love hurt his older brother, Yohan is determined to spare his club senior Mukyeong the same fate after noticing him pining for their fellow club member Junseo. Yohan decides to play cupid.

I liked this. The relationship developed at a comfortable pace, with plenty of ups and downs along the way. The characters stayed true to themselves, even when their choices were frustrating.

Jooan met Seojoon in highschool in France and had since been inseparable friends except SJ had been carrying feelings for JA 12 years!!! and he knows JA has been in love with his childhood friend Hajin (ML)

I love their story, a bit angsty

Hyeonjin has been quietly pining for Jeongwook for seven years. Then Chanyeong suddenly confesses to Jeongwook right in front of him. Threatened by his new rival, Hyeonjin makes Chanyeong an offer: he'll give himself to Chanyeong if Chanyeong gives up on pursuing Jeongwook. I won't spoil what happens next, but let's just say it was much to Chanyeong's delight, and that's exactly why this title belongs on this list.

Light, funny read. One of my fav university romances.

Hinata has harbored unrequited feelings for his childhood friend Makoto for years. Makoto announces he's getting married. Makoto's younger brother Toki has had a crush on his brother's best friend... suddenly barges in and starts staying at Hinata's place.

Lovable characters

Eunho has loved Jaeha since he was a child, but given the age gap, Jaeha moved on with his life and got married. Eunho tries to move on but they meet again when he is in university and Jaeha is divorced. Eunho is determined not to let Jaeha go this time, but Jaeha's gone through a lot and is afraid of loving and hurting someone he cares for.

Prepare for: angst, miscommunication, insecurities

Myeongseon is in search of the perfect buff bottom with "horse thighs" or his 100% lmfao. He finds his 100% in the guy in charge of the charcoal at his family's restaurant and starts chasing after him like a dog in heat, but Charcoal isn't interested. Soo down bad he offers to bottom.

Yeegyeong falls for Seonho, his uni sunbae and who he moved in with that has a 7-year unrequited love with his childhood friend.

imo each character's decisions and actions made sense for who they are and the experiences (or lack thereof) that led them here. it may be frustrating to watch, but real people make honestly stupid decisions all the time, and i can't help but look at these characters' mistakes with tenderness.

good read, hurts just right

Starts with MC getting broken up with. MC has been in numerous short term relationships. Technically, MC has been pining for someone, anyone's affection and having someone there (abandonment issues).

ML begins to have feelings early on in the story. Still offers to help MC look for a girlfriend.
(MC thinks he's straight; does end up realizing he's bi)
