Quite literally the saying ‘if only you were a girl, it wouldn’t be a sin to love you’ as a book. Yes, I did cry during my read, but Im just going to blame my eyes that were burning from reading in the dark at 3am. I recommend grabbing a box of tissues or a friend to cry with you if you’re about to read this. Bottom is sick+religious and meeting top who is rebellious+carefree. Any more and I basically spoil the story, but one of my top reads, 10/10.
I got this recommended to me on reels, knew it was doomed going in, and ended up being met with a satisfying ending. Top is a photographer who remembers the bottom from a crash only they survived, bottom is a well known writer, but is cursed with having the person he takes inspiration from dying once it gets released. Story gets kind of confusing and unsettling in some parts but I still loved it.
This one kinda gives ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ bc oh my days. Kept on popping up on my homepage and then switched over to my feed, so I caved and decided to read it. Unrequited love and the ‘you remind me so much of __’ trope are heavy in this one. Revolution type era, bottom is an older, genius writer and top is a young man looking to find opportunity in America(and doing various things to get the funds to go). Ending did infact make me cry like a baby.
