I actually love this, though it's heartbreaking in places once you realise what Heejae has suffered through, how he's been treated (by everyone, including the ML), but the redemption arc is fairly satisfying, and is also multi-layered. But genuinely, genuinely heartbreaking in moments.
Dark, crunchy, do not expect a focus on consent here at all, but really interesting, complex characters who all have an understandable basis for being the way they are. The MC is a strong character, and emotionally resilient, which also puts him in a position to handle the nonsense of his position as a guide in this rough and tough world.
This might become awful, but so far it's been a hell of a good time. Warning for all the things, this is not a nice couple by any means, and it could go in any direction because of it, but so far wow!
