specifically The Speaker volumes. i read the raws and it's just so fucking good. well-written relatively realistic characters in a loving poly relationship? and they've all got screws loose? fuck yeah
their smiles are so insanely hot, author is an incredible artist & communication is stellar
sexy consensual vore and absolute tragedy. generational cycles of trauma. gorgeous art.
started reading this at like 13 and literally fell in love with rogi - maybe it's bc i spent a good chunk of my life in a similar state of mind but still. a decade later and i feel the same. full of messy characters doing stupid shit and hurting people in the process. fantastic characterization, gorgeous art.
fucking amazing but tbf every character this author writes is gold. love these guys
bad pharmacy always hits
this is the first relationship of its kind i've seen in this genre. rare gem. blew my mind that seungmin is genuinely trauma-informed (i guess that speaks to how low the bar is in this genre lol). art is gorgeous too, which doesn't hurt.
one of the first yaoi i ever read in middle school. stuck with me til adulthood. really interesting writing and surprisingly complex worldbuilding. yashiro is beautifully written. horrific trauma and tragedy all around. this author is ace at creating really desolate emotional landscapes.
dumb x dumber fwbs. rape played off for laughs a few times, which is unfortunate but pretty tame for harada's usual fare. this is otherwise a gem, though. a one-of-a-kind slice-of-life manga, there's nothing out there remotely like it
