When you lose faith in yourself, when you face one fail after another, when future holds only obscurity, you often find yourself on the crossroad between of who you were and who you are - a lonely child with shattered dreams, until somebody come into your life to remind that dreams are over only when we are. That's what this story is about.
I'm a fan of OGERETSU Tanaka work. The girl has a talent to express such a huge variety of emotions in static images that I only can applaud. Escape Journey was one of those works. Tender, emotional, wild and beautiful. The plot is simple but the way it's presented is what hooked me up until the very last frame. The characters are lovable, the art is amazing, the atmosphere is soothing, the passion is real.
I really love "Never Understand", so this story was like a rendezvous into the past and yet with a slight touch of present. The artstyle as usual was very pleasing to eyes; the story, despite being so short is very heartwarming; the plot is simple yet unique and may be too close to home for some readers. I'm glad that this author has returned to comics since it's so hard to find something that can leave you with such a fine aftertaste, but this story has done it.
Let me tell one thing - I fell in love with this author. That being said...
Scarlet contains three different stories, but the first is the one that can shock a faint heart. It's obsessive, violent and yet... I always was into twisted love, that's why Ryou and Akio blew my mind. Maybe because it's so unique, maybe because there are people - no matter how twisted - are meant for each other, or maybe because it's so rare to find something so...deviant.
I really don't like multiple stories, but for some reason "Beautiful Days" has stuck in my mind even after several days since our "first encounter". There is something significantly melancholic yet so beautiful in it -a drop of exquisite solitude and vulnerable heart that lives in every frame of this simplicity.
Someone has finally started to post it here. I read this story on netcomics around a year ago. Most of the time I like to read something that brings any form of emotion to me and it so happen that "Intense" had it all: unique love, real chemistry, issues and fight for something you believe in, along with a good plot and atmosphere. This is very interesting manhwa and I highly recommend it.
I'm very much in love with "Kyuuso Ha Cheese no Yume Omiru" and "Sojou No Koi Wa Nido Haneru", so of course it's here.
Minus some personal flaws, overall I really enjoyed it, maybe because it wasn't just cute or cliche, like most of yaoi is, but instead it was filled with feelings these two character had for each other. And since I like manga that give me not only obscurity, but also a piece of purity, "Only You, Only" did just that.
I wouldn't say this story is mind blowing or that the characters are age appropriate - just look at the art - and yet this story left some form of impact on me. It made me think "Could I? Should I? Would I?". Unfortunately finding good and meaningful BL - be it yaoi or shounen-ai - is such rarity because of its "mindless air", but "Back to school" gonna make you think, feel, analyze and ask yourself a very raw questions which is why it's here.
Being simple doesn't mean being unemotional. This is what "A Shoulder to Cry On" is about - an emotional roller coaster of two lost souls. It's rare for me to become so immersed with a story, but this one umbrellaed me with its soleness for which I'm very glad.
