Bawled my eyes out for almost every chapter
The characters feel so earnest and fleshed out
It’s sad that the author has passed away
The sheer amount of warmth and kindness in this manga literally emanates off the pages
All the characters have amazing growth - it’s not always linear, but they find their way
Suppose it’s cause it’s an older manga, but non-binary identities/asexuality wasn’t discussed
Spoiler:
The iffy thing is Ibuki got into a relationship during their time apart while still being in love with Haru. It’s disrespectful towards both Nene and Haru. I won’t rant about it here
This series has a special place in my heart. I would have also appreciated a bit more depth, but I’m satisfied with it as is. I love the original song (Villain by Teniwoha)
