I believe the allure of what people categorize as toxic yuri/yaoi only emerges when they’re both shit and it becomes a push and pull morally dubious situation because there’s equal amounts of hurt and power being thrown around if that makes sense. this strictiy for fiction!!!! But honestly when you look at what’s happening in these stories they’re so far from reality and strange to think about and nonsensical that holds zero weight to any real morals.
