♡ Dropped Series (Uncompleted Reads)

The novel was worse but the r!pe at the start was hard for me to get over, he was so awful to her during their wedding night too, being aggressive and forceful and saying rude things. Time period accurate, I do understand but portraying this as a romance was sickening. I would've been fine if it was a story about self growth which it to an extent was, but romance was the priority so the two leads grew closer and more intimate and she forgave him. I felt like Under The Oak Tree handled it better

Sometimes I love rage baiting myself and reading bad stories.. but I don't hate myself enough to get any further then I already did when I read this.. why is the genre romance.. and why is she so pathetic..

It's a revamp of a former story I read. Wasn't a fan of the new designs nor how ridiculously cliche the characters/plot was but it isn't necessarily a bad story, just the same reused plotlines. Just not for me.
