FL has to dress as + pretend to be a boy (her twin brother to be precise) to be able to attend a prestigious academy. She wanted to study, whereas her brother didn't, but their parents were sexist cunts who wouldn't let their BRILLIANT daughter do it because "they're too poor", but with their dumb son who has no interest in entering society like his sister does, then they can scrape up money to send him to an expensive school. ML fell for FL fast since he found out she's a girl (he's straight).

When her nearly identical brother (other than his hair and body) gets sick, which means he'd miss school and that's not allowed at his school, the FL has to pretend to be her brother and dress as him. She just has to wear a wig and bind her chest. Her brother has extremely feminine/androgynous facial features. She's found out by the ML who was already in love with her (they met once before, but she couldn't see his face at the time, and he'd been desperately searching for her since.)
