There are some stories you can kinda tell were written with a fully developed frontal lobe where the story has moments of deep introspection beyond the romance, side characters with differing opinions and drawn faces (especially women), and/or talks about being queer/in or out of the closet.

Some stories are more likely than others to be written by an adult in the queer space.
