I’m so overwhelmed with emotions right now, I just have to put this on my recommended. Age gap with a 29 and 39 year old, but who cares?! Please read this, it’s so wholesome and the dialogue is just so ... *chef’s kiss* Cute dates. Pining. Thoughtful moments.
It's a brilliant comic that deals with heavy themes such as homophobia and racism. It doesn't shy away from being vulgar to show the gritty reality of the world they live in. The symbolic visuals and the transition in between scenes are a 10/10.
Although the story revolves around the life of Connor and Simon (reversible couple with no set top or bottom), the side characters are just as captivating. The plot had me on the edge of my seat and even made me tear up a few times!
I actually adore both this and its prequel, Mujaki na Wanko to Nekokaburi. I'm only adding one in my list since this is longer and the first pairing frequently appears! Absolutely wholesome and domestic. Everything is just so vanilla, the comedy is on point, the characters are lovable, NO DRAMA. The younger guys are dating old men (40) so there's an age gap. You'll be missing out if you skip this!
This might be my favorite Harada story. It hurts so much but it has a happy ending. This is not for everyone. This has rape in it, mentions of child neglect and child prostitution in Momo's past. It's basically a hurt/comfort story with steamy sex in between. You can feel the emotions dripping out of the pages-- the sadness, the resignation, the happiness. I'm really glad Momo found Yata.
This was a good representation of a man who's discovering his sexuality or y'know, opening up to something he's not familiar with. It's a rocky road but they got together in the end. Ogata is a good guy. He really does care for Saya despite his initial discomfort in having sex with a man. Saya is so precious! It really hurt to see him in pain. I recommend this while listening to the official BLCD.
IT'S FINALLY COMPLETED! Bless this manga! :D These two are super wholesome! Just two teenage boys exploring their sexuality, and being super cute and sweet.
This manga had me pausing in between scenes because my heart couldn't take it. I was so emotionally invested in Deguchi and Onoda's story! I just want to hug Deguchi and give him the nicest things! This is a prequel/sequel to Doushitemo Furetakunai. I personally prefer this story over Shima and Togawa.
This story is spicy from beginning to end. We still have season 2 but holy shit, the explicit scenes-- the sexual tension between McQueen and Ed is phenomenal. The inner dialogue, movie references, panel shots! I love it all! This takes a more intimate look at the gay porn industry. I wouldn't call them bara but they're well fit. The main leads are far from the image of effeminate slender men Japanese BL mangas usually have.
Ryousuke is looking for someone to settle down with and finds solace in a younger man he met at a gay bachelor's party. I think this is one of the few BL stories that had a problem resolved in just a few pages. ACTUAL COMMUNICATION HAPPENS. I'M SERIOUS.
I find it funny that these two act more like an old married couple compared to the actual newlyweds in the story. Good shit. It makes you reflect on things, particularly about settling down and spending your life with someone.
It's short, it's adorable-- it's not another one of those teasing seme x tsundere uke. I doubt any do-s seme can take Izuhara's violent outbursts. Even Shinba can barely handle the gap moe. Besides, Izuhara doesn't need to get more riled up, he needs someone like Shinba who's patient and has a good heart. The comedy in this manga is top-notch!
