A story such as jazz for two has much to unravel. For instance, jazz is one of the most expressive styles of music. In this story, the Artist uses jazz to express the tone and mood of the chapter.
This story uses colour differentiation to further portray the feelings of loneliness and making a bond with someone. When the protagonist is alone in his own head he is shown in cool colours such as blue and grey, but as he connects with the one he feels deeply connected to, the Artist portrays him in a warm toned light like pinks and oranges.
This story portrays what it is like to be truly in love with someone. Love is a complex emotion and I feel that this story grasps what it is like to love someone unconditionally. The Artist does an amazing job at portraying the characters emotions and understands colour schemes and expression.
