Rape. About a student with personality, who seems like the perfect bullying target but if you mess up with him you’re fucked, literally. Also, they have magic. Was kind of funny to me, but maybe it’s just me. Only one chapter published so far, hopefully a bad romance (gaga, please) won’t mess it up.
A little bit of everything but more on the tragic side than the yaoi/smut one. Enjoyable when you don’t want to sleep and do not know what to read, it may linger in your dreams and give you a little something like a cute peck.
Not my cup of tea but I could compromise to call it half of my glass of water. Better than a few titles in here, not on the level of the ones that got me into a big hype, though. That’s just me, most probably so... You do you, if it seems appealing just go for it, that’s why I placed it on this list. I enjoyed it but not on a spiritual level. Still, dark and twisted. Leonardo DiCaprio should play on this manga’s live action movie.
Models, fame, money, sex.
Dark-themed but not “holly fuck, this is deep” dark-themed. Enjoyable, good plot, nice chemistry, makes you feel stylish for half a second.
Not too overwhelming of a plot, despite having the potential to be one if handled wrong. This mangaka knows how to do a manga and it shows, especially when it’s about this type of angsty genre. With a slice of life simple-complex feel to it, this is yet another thing that I enjoy re-reading.
There is a lot going on in here so take your time to read every panel with care and attention because if you skip too fast through them your brain will simply go “bgjrkskaloeakaxnpaaa”. The protagonist is androgynous and does a lot of shit with a lot of people. You’ll see pedophilia, incest, violence, death, rape, heterosexual sex, gay sex, plot twists, tears, drama and a somewhat nice ending.
Prequel to the manga I spoke about in the previous review. Man, this is entertaining and sad as hell. It’s more of a one-sided on turns unfulfilled love. Offers you a refreshing, good type of melancholia that will make you think about a love you never had nor felt.
Kidnapping. Incest. Pedophilia.
Gen Z really being crazy out there, huh? (don’t sue me, it’s a joke, I don’t even know this kid’s birthday Karen.) Uncle x Nephew. A cute story with a nice plot-twist and psychological touch. What a surprise, another work of Asumiko Nakamura that I like! It’s hard having favorite authors and not filling lists with them chaotically, I really do try to make this shit as diverse as possible.
Pedophilia and a little bit of Stockholm’s syndrome. Not like Harada’s works lack that, anyway. It’s an entertaining read with some little twists there and there that keep your mind active and make you rub the top of your temples in a perhaps long needed massage. A story about a little child and a friendly “nii-chan” from a hell-knows-where neighborhood. Sex, sex, sex.
I mean, is this the best? With a religious strange cult and a lot of drugs, it’s for you to decide if the drama of a crackhead and a priest is what you want your Friday night to be filled it. Interesting, kind of. It won’t hurt if you read it, it’s likeable.
