the characters! the art! the ACCURATE representation!!
this was a work of art from start to finish. not only did it discuss real issues and handle them in an appropriate way, but the way the author added dream-like qualities to realistic situations made it so breathtaking. the author truly made life look beautiful through the eyes of the characters. this story gave me the same impression as a studio ghibli film, it romanticized the little things in life
I have so many mixed feelings abt this,,, , ,
at first I thought this was going to Obviously be abt a gay man wishing to be a woman in order to fit in with heteronormative values, but instead it turned out to be more like a trans woman struggling with dysphoria and I was surprised tbe mangaka actually stuck with that plot. It's not perfect representation, but it was a nice change of pace from what I was expecting
the ending was refreshing, very bittersweet
genuine lesbian AND gender fluidity representation? in MY yaoi?? THANK GOD

maybe it's bc I read this at like 2 am but something abt this story just really tugged at my heart strings
i loved the development and how their relationship was a bit unconventional - they both were comfortable with the fact that the other had lingering feelings for someone else and mutual pain brought them together,,, I just,, hnnnnnngng, this was a good story with good characters
and the art is BEAUTIFUL

I love the direction this took and the love they share with each other. super glad there wasn't a lot of angst, just enough tension and plenty of love I can't stress enough how nice of a read this was
