Flightless messenger is finally assigned to the god of a mountain where he recovers hidden memories of his past and pursues the one he loves amidst troubling times. I enjoyed the sweet narrative and character profiles - both MCs are vulnerable yet resilient. I like the way that both of them confronts their traumas and insecurities with courage. The art is pretty cute as well.
This pair feels like they've been married for years, and their ease and comfort around each other are evident in their casual conversations over domestic matters, the way they settle fights. Really refreshing change of pace from the usual pieces I read. It may come across slow and mundane but I guess that's how a blissful married life may look like
Love the concept for the first story - two businessmen makes eye contact while heading to work and goes into a public restroom for a quickie without speaking to each other. The art is nice and sensual. Wasn't as engaged with the other stories in the collection as the first. But the reviews are pretty diverse from what I've seen in the comments, maybe you'll like one, maybe you'll like them all.
wow despite it being a one-shot, the way the manga opened with a storytelling sequence was really captivating and refreshing! Just like the drunk customer at the bar, I was completely engrossed in the bartender's narrative and was pleasantly surprised by the twist at the end. He was sharing about his encounter with a fox demon while hunting down his missing ingredients. Enjoyed this satisfying piece!
Well developed plot, characters and backstory. It's about the coming together of a photographer to be and a musician to be, what it means to break free from the restraints of his past and move forward. I love how they reunited once again years later, doing what they love. More of a slow burn, but really explores the characters and their past in depth
MC meets a fellow schoolmate on the rooftop as he contemplates suicide (bullying), he ends up hanging out with him in his hideout until a typhoon comes by. I thought the plot was unique and though it is only 3 chapters long, I enjoyed every panel and sentiment that came alone with it. It's very powerful and a tad heartbreaking. I'd say the heartache is worth it.
This is crazy cute, I loved their interactions and wholesome relationship. The art is good, and the story is definitely a read that will lift your mood and fill you up with a swell of goodness. Presents a kind hearted soul and his friendship with a sparrow turned man. I thought that the pacing and flow was just nice, a really sweet read!
A sorcerer and his apprentice and a hell of a backstory. I love how the narration is in the POV of the apprentice and how he drops moments of foreboding with lines like "This would prove to be the start of something terrible" etc. The art style is unique and cute. The pacing is on the slower side than what I would normally enjoy, but this piece feels like a present waiting to be unraveled layer by layer. I like the attention to detail to the plot and characters.
This manga depicts the romance between two men from their school days all the way to their old ages. It has a very wistful and tender sentiment, at times heartbreaking.
Wow.. Just wow. Captivated me from start to the end. Really, really good. Reminds me of the Chinese drama Love020 where the main characters get together in the game world as well as in real life. I guess you could call this cliche, but it's a really easy piece to follow through and enjoy, like iced tea on a hot summer's day.
