You may find that my favorite mangas do not feature a lot of smut. It's not that I don't like it, but when the smut dominates the entire story, I find it boring and the plot lacking substance. What gravitates me towards a book is the journey of discovery (whether of love, sexuality or friendship), so my fave mangas  are usually sweet and mostly devoid of physical aggression.  My favorite tropes are friends-to-lovers, rivals-to-lovers, and the more taboo incest (faux or not, mostly sibling).
