magical girls except really fucked up (a classic plot I can’t tire of) but definitely a couple differences from madoka magica. Imagine the worst person you know getting all the power and love in the world after being wronged by them and now you have to watch.
Satisfying ending
This was so good it’s definitely a manga that will stick with u for a while. It was emotional seeing the MC so passionate about something she was so naturally talented at, yet prevented from pursuing due to her looks.
Amazing manga, I mean depending on where your headspace is at I think the ending could be seen as either hopeful or incredibly miserable. That’s why I think a lot of people regard this as insanely depressing, which it is lol, especially with all the complex characters and their backstories.
yall this is fucked uupp and that’s what makes this story so good but idk if I’ll ever recover from this
Girl I literally thought it was just degenerate porn with a plot. But the plot thickened omg. The ”romance” was so toxic, but at the same time felt romanticized in a way-- it felt like a story written through a victim’s eyes before crashing down and recognizing it for what it truly is. Like someone else said, it’s really a story of the cycle of abuse. This felt like a super realistic portrayal of a groomer victim dynamic, complex not just black and white.
whew chile... what a trip. No words just mess and a spiral of darkness really.
Happy Sugar Life (ft. Child grooming, sexual assault, everything)
Tw: sexual assault, rape
This manga is based on the authors experience. With that thought, it stings even more to read through.
do I have to explain ?
think Killing Stalking.. but there’s definitely a lot more emotional undertones near the end? It’s definitely graphic and hard to read through, but a good fucked up story nonetheless
Namsoo is such an interesting character lol, it’s so interesting to see a batshit insane character that doesn’t feel corny or cliche. It was also really interesting to see a story with a physically disabled character.
Happy ending
