Not every gay person finds their one true love in five seconds and dates them without a single obstacle Includes... - (gay) relationships with bumps in the road - people not accepted for who they are/struggling with coming out - relationships that move forward realistically - realistic representation - authors writing about their real life experiences in a manga format (listed at the end)
Nagata Kabi uses engaging diary comics to explore her personal issues surrounding mental health, identity, and intimacy. Her relationship with her parents is growing more difficult than ever, and she struggles with the idea of living alone for the first time. Join her on her heart-wrenching, relatable journey through the challenges of adulthood.
A gay son and a lesbian daughter. Or Jin and Rin are best friends since childhood, and they each have a secret - that they are both gay. Jin lives in a familiar household, while Rin has an overprotective mother who even looks at what she reads. However life turns upside down when both of their households find our about their sexual orientation. How will they survive despite their parents knowing?
You may feel your favorite manga should be gathered together into distinct categories for your own reference and, now, you can do this with a LIST. After you've created your list or lists, you can proudly recommend them to other manga fans to showcase and share your taste in manga.
You should change the list name to Realistic Representation of Gay Men with a Small Splash of Gender Identity and Lesbian Stories. There isn't enough of a mix in genre on here as it mostly consists of yaoi. Just FYI and I mean absolutely no offense by it. As far as yuri realistic rep, check out What Does The Fox Say?, Aoi Hana, Ohana Holoholo, Asagao to Kase-San and the sequel, Lily Love 1 & 2, Serenade, Octave or Cresent Moon & Doughnuts. I don't have any to recommend for gender identity issues as there is a very small amount of those manga that are done correctly.
