5 stars // this one was so cute! high school settings when you're a third year just hits different because technically you're still living your youthful turning point in life, but it's about to end, and the slow pacing in this one is just, wow. The end is satisfying, though i wanted a little bit more ♡( ◡‿◡ )
4 stars // Man the yearning and seemingly one-sided pining in this one is just too real. I couldn't imagine though what it'd feel like to have a five year long classmate you had a crush on, suddenly, in third grade, literally the last grade of your high school years, is sorted into another class, i loved this one it totally feels like a high school love story type of stuff!
5 stars // The balance of the story being so dramatic and then scenes where they are clearly in highschool like going to mixers, haunted houses during school festivals, and exams set the highschool mood with the kinda heavy plot.
4 stars // Ah the joys of highschool where you don't care about anything other than your unrequited crush and giving it all for your homies. Every story has it's wholesome moments that you could only feel the highest during high school. cute cute cute.
5 stars // i always feel like the "changing seats further away from each other as a means of distancing oneself from the other" to be kind of whack because back in my high school days even though a friend i got into a fight with changed seats i still tried to talk to him lmao, it's not like we're so far apart we're literally still in the same room together, but nonetheless it's adorable.
5 stars // this isn't necessarily very highschool centered, but they're childhood friends who grew up together and the ending where Tarou's at the bonfire dance during the cultural festival is heartbreakingly wholesome.
4 stars // Ah school clubs, the pinnacle of high school teenage tension, and to make it more tense, it's Judo. When i first read this i instantly knew Saitou was gonna have an injury lmao it's a common trope, but damn do i love it, it's just so gut-wrenching when you experienced something that could potentially harm you from playing the sport you love, that must fucking hurt, especially if you weren't the one at fault. Glad that Satou could still play though.
2 stars // didn't feel very highschool-ish since EVERY fucking scene takes place during break and on the rooftop for some reason and no highschool event whatsoever took place during the course of the story, but hey gakurans are cool!
3 stars // idk how to describe since it does have a fseling like they're highschool atudents, but at the same time it doesn't? Maybe since it's not the focus of the story
