05/19/22- Straight up, this webtoon is so good.. I genuinely forget it is one because the regular romance webtoons just don’t compare to the level of quality that Unripe Apple has tbh! Soonki is a fantastic author, and you can tell she really went in-depth with the story, character building, and the artwork is simplistic but is so beautiful. If anything, the art speaks for itself a lot of the times; it shows within her work. I’m a sucker for an enemies to lover trope myself! Highly r

THIS IS BIASED !! but if you’re looking for an actual story with genuine character development and the whole 9 yards, oh my god is this insanely good. A lot of romances just can’t compete with Kodocha, and my views haven’t changed even in 6+ years! The quality on here sucks though, but this show has the perfect balance of playful banter- to just awfully dark topics that I just don’t see in modern day media being talked abt. It’s criminally underrated!!

Honestly fw it, it’s definitely a unique take on the shoujo genre; which comes off as a mix of Ouran Host Club and other absurd slice of life’s like Saiki K. (which surprisingly mix well!) the main MC may be something to get adjusted to at first, but ironically enough you get used to the crazy shenanigans that it slowly becomes endearing as it goes on. The ML is one of the only few who I can genuinely say has a good balance of playful banter but a sense of realism that other shoujos

If you want a more actually romance oriented slice-of-life paced story, this one pretty much takes the cake! All the characters are funny caricatures, and nothing is too messy and gets resolved in a fun and almost mature way; actually could practically rec this to anyone if I’m going to be honest lmfao

I’m OBSESSED WITH HOW WELL WRITTEN THIS MANGA IS!! In all seriousness, it presents adult relationships & dynamics incredibly well, and this time you can actually relate to the characters and their office lives! Wow!! (All shade intended ) BUT ITS SO GOOD AT MAKING YOU HOOKED WITH THEIR FLUFF + occasional small sexual tension where it’s implied and shown a bit. It’s basically good for everyone 10/10!

Overall this is a nice approach to the whole reincarnation genre, which was well needed! I adore Penelope, and how her relationship with her and the rest of the cast flourish, especially with the duke. It definitely has a nice balance between being lighthearted and a bit serious. And I also like that they don’t shy away from sexual tension..which most webtoons avoid weirdly enough. They’re both realistic, although I did get annoyed at the duke here and there but he grows overtime;A+

This is more action-oriented tbh but overall it’s my main choice to rec someone who’s new into romance, it’s not the main focus of the story at ALL but you can’t help but to see the pair develop as individuals first and root for them to be together Chaotic in the best WAYY I LOVEEE THEM

Tbh for a webtoon it really knows how to get you hooked pretty easily, and if anything, it’s better than most webtoons with the way they handle the protagonist, the plot, and the rest of the characters overall!! I like the way it diverges from the typical romance troupes, and doesn’t pull the “I’m a maiden in distress” BS that most romances do. And I LOVE IT FOR THAT! Would totally recommend for a solid binge read!!

Once again, it’s not very long imo but it’s wholesome! Good for a beginner with an ultra light plot! I’m a big fan of height differences in shows for absolutely no reason
