so, so lovely. the characters are all great, and it's a realistic slice of life manhua. gu ze's less of a classic delinquent, he's more of a slacker type who doesn't really go out of his way to trouble anyone, and that was a nice surprise. one thing i LOVED was they didn't make the characters unrealistically dense to prolong the plotline, instead they made them realize each other's feelings subtly. their relationship progressed well, and i just really love this!! soft <3 boys <3
sobs in I OFFER YOU THE LOYALTY OF A MAN WHO'S NEVER BEEN LOYAL.... someone do this for me please anyway this manhua's REALLY good. the story & narration? choice of poems? yes give me the TASTE. i haven't finished yet since i just started this today but im nearing the end. both couples are amazing!! the maturity displayed in this manhua is something we all need. ayi is a wonderful child can i put her in my pocket? thx. anyway READ THIS and sob with me in I OFFER U LEAN STREETS, DESPERATE SUNSETS
here we go,,, the manhua i've loved for a long time!!! this is honestly such a classic at this point, and it's deserving of the hype it gets. yu yang is easily one of the best mcs for me, no joke, i'm kinda??? just?? so in love w his character?? the relationships in this manhua too, be it platonic or romantic, were all amazing. love them love this. also soft, wonderful art!! i've reread this so much already, and i'm as in love with it as ever.
before u go whaaat it says shoujo?? yeah read it for yourself they ARE GAY they basically confirm it themselves in the manga who the fuck has a manga cover like that like shut the fuck up.... just kiss kiss fall in love..... my god. i'm still question marks over the shoujo tag this is basically shonen ai. anyway, read this!!! it's cute and the characters r great (i love maria ngl) would probably reread soon!!
never had much of an interest with crossdressing stuff, but this is one of my absolute favorites!!! zihao zhang is a boss bitch and you'd better not fuck with him. i'm seriously in love with his character as a whole plus yuze shao is SUCH a chad? whole gentleman i swear. i fell in love with their dynamic fast, and they're just. sobs. so cute. the side pairing's also a treat, and the characterizations are superb all throughout the story. i'm set to reread this soon, i love it so much.
okay here's one of my comfort reads. i love this so much. the characters are lovable and the plot is shamelessly my style, plus the relationship of the couple's something so sweet!!! it hasn't developed much and updated too in a year because the author died, so if you're religious pray for them and if not, just wish them well wherever you think they are! they gave us this gem. please give it a read if you can.
one of my top favorites too!! i love the characterization in this and the progress of the leads, like being away from each other sometimes if needed. unlike most comics, this takes the pov of the other character in the pairing as well, as frequently as it does the other. so you get insights on what they're both thinking, and so you see how the characterization was executed. this was a great read!! love both pairings, and im alr satisfied with the screentime given to the first one, so all's good.
another personal preference of a favorite! some don't like it, but i actually find the manhwa really good in terms of characterization. the characters come off realistic and humane, so i found it a gem for character study. characters here served their purpose and made their closure the best they can, and that's satisfying enough for me. i dropped this when i first read it, but when i continued, i enjoyed it a way lot more than i thought i would. thank god for second chances.
really liked this short manhwa! straightforward and clean-cut with the plot. there's not much on the characters considering the length, but what really captured me here's the ending. it doesn't involve the main couple (they're living their immortal lives or wtvr) but side characters i grew fond of. went on a 180 degree turn near the end, and i love the sudden twist in narratives. probably reread this already.
i think i'm just bound to love enjo's works, really. they're the mangaka equivalent of park ji-yeon to me. i liked hishakaishindo better than this, but maybe because it's still not done yet? anyway, this is also a brilliant coming-of-age slice of life story that focuses on two best friends and how they don't just magically fall in love. i hope we get a good ending to this, really!! as always, enjo's story + art combo is devastating.
