Summary: The iron widow, Shuri Von Neuwanstein is given a second chance at life when she wakes up 7 years ago. This time, she refuses to suffer and make the same mistakes twice.
Review: You’ve seen this plot before, but not with this kind of depth. Sure, it’s gruesomely dark and seedy but also just as flutteringly romantic and bittersweet. A moving depiction of the strength of a young mother.
I save this one’s updates for last so I can savor it. 10/10
Summary: Kuronuma ‘Sadako’ Sawako number one goal is to make griends, just like the refreshing Kazehaya Shouta.
Review: At first, it seems as fluffy and pointless as any other shoujo manga but the characters are all so communicative and multi-dimensional. Throw away everything you expected, you’re in for a wild ride. 10/10
Summary: A pilot without memories drops from the skies. Straight into the home of 16 year old Shirou.
Review: Ghibli-esque visuals full of bittersweet melodrama and intimate romance. It’s poetic in its handling of human emotion, experience, and youth.
As much as I want more, the ending was perfect. 10/10
Summary: "Somehow, before the appearance of the female lead, I became the male lead’s temporary wife. Since things had already turned out this way, I decided to try my very best. However…"
Review: A refreshingly open depiction of two charismatic leads with deep, 3-dimensional personalities. It’s funny, it’s sentimental, it’s bittersweet, and it’s real..
It just got better and better. 10/10
Summary: An intimate look into the life of an unusual duo.
Review: Maybe the most real yet beautiful example of slice of life with a touch of historical value. The art is editorial, simple yet elegant. And the teasing push and pull between this not so romantic couple is worth the read. 10/10
Summary: "A change in the stakeout team throws Onoe, reporter for a weekly magazine, together with his contemporary, Kaburagi, a photographer."
Review: IMO NATSUME Isaku's masterpiece in writing casual dialogue. The relationship development from reluctant partners to lovers gives me crazy heart palpitations.
They shouldn't be so cute but Isaku pulls it off so well. 10/10
Summary: "Riding behind Tetsuya was his pride and joy. But in a gang with the implicit rule of "no favorites", after being doted on by Tetsuya, Toranosuke finds trouble brewing between himself and some members of the gang."
Review: The key-word here is regret. Why didn't they work things out all those years ago? And why can't I re-read this for this first time again??
Tora deserves a good loving. 10/10
Summary: Shigeo “Mob” Kageyama is a psychic middle schooler whose main goal is, well, to impress his childhood crush, Tsubomi Takane.
Review: Although crudely drawn, it’s truly a narrative work of art. ONE handles heroically told morals and comedic timing like a master.
A more bittersweet taste from the anime. 10/10
Summary: Sekine is a popular, handsome, with a natural charisma. But what’s with the sick feeling he feels whenever he sees a woman?
Review: Another great manga from Kawachi Haruka. A quirky and mature story about trauma and finding new love. I appreciated the realistic approach to romance and character personalities. 10/10
Summary: Kei is a freelance detective living in Iceland on the search for his brother. Using his supernatural powers, he must find him before the others do.
Review: This one’s a unique mystery that feels human despite all of its supernatural themes. The main character alongside Kei is Iceland itself, and maybe Lilja’s ass.
Some of my favorite art and characters. 10/10
