I spent an entire afternoon absorbed in it, the story of Kouhei and Taichi from start to end pulled at my heartstrings, made me cry alongside them and smile and shout for joy when they did. The plot and narrative has a lot of depth and stays fairly realistic, and Kouhei's deep love for Taichi made me feel so very single lol. Loved it!!!
OMG I CANT TAKE IT AM CRYING THIS IS SO GOOD! The chapters are done as little cute snippets and I am just melting away at their show of love! I am gonna re-read when I get the grumps, this is such a mood lifter for sure.
I really loved this story, there was a quiet poignancy and also a cheery flipside and I enjoyed all the emotional nuances of every chapter flow. I love the MCs - Hayato with his upbeat bravado hiding his need for love and Hiromichi, so stoic and yet so amazingly caring. Definitely a gem to keep.
OMG TAKE MY 5 STARS JUST TAKE IT NOW! I havent sat thru reading a manga with a silly sappy grin on my face in a while. This was so awesomely beautiful. What heartfelt moments of tender genuine care and love. Definitely one of my favourite shounen ai.
An adorable and beautiful story. I LOVED the warmth emanating from each frame and I like re-reading this because it makes me feel so refreshed. Mita Ori writes and illustrates beautiful stories for sure.
Ahhh this always refreshes my poor dark and ugly heart. Thank you Sensei.
The beauty of how it flowed - from plot establishment, to both MC's emotional awakening to the Sunday resolution - ahh. They fell in love within 7 days. I fell in love within 13 chapters. Now on to the live-action!
I love the emotional sensitivity Sensei has in her works. I love the expressions drawn and the moments of quiet thoughts this manga had. And I absolutely love how she does the romance and sexual build up. I have read so many yaois but Sensei's sensual scenes always make me FY^%R^&T. Every frame emotes. If I could complain, I just wish Takano communicated more on feelings instead of just demanding food, altho I do understand thats his way of getting his feelings to reach Kotarou.
Any work by Kou sensei is always worth reading. Her stories always touches the heart. Even here altho Reply is short, the MCs have wonderful character traits, and are so manly and emotionally grounded. I love how she draws their expressions and nuances, and how much is being said by not saying anything but just their looks and stances. Definitely a story I would read again and again.
One of my all time fave shounen ai. I loved the summer theme in this manga and the warmth the story gives. The MCs are grounded and real, nothing feels forced, the plot and the backstory feels cohesive. In the sequel, Kimi to Natsu no Naka the maturing of the relationship feels natural. My only regret is there isnt any smexy times to go with their growth into adulthood.
