tldr: otaku dresses up nicely to fit in and tries to find a fashionable bf who will be okay with his otaku side
theres really nothing special about the plot on this one. the main characters are likeable. the plot twist was really unexpected though which is probably why its on this list.

reread this 2024... im betting i felt the same feelings i did the first time ive read this. its so wholesome and heartwarming but gut wrenching at the same time.
mita raises a child with his childhood bestfriend hanao. hanao has been hiding his feelings towards mita. the kid theyre raising thinks hanao and mita are married. hanao runs away and leaves. they get reconnected 20 years later, the story unfolds further from then on.
