One of the only manga I’ve read that is pretty much perfect. Author does an incredible job of making each character feel like a real person, with complex personalities and motivations instead of one dimensional props to show off the MC. Yona is a sheltered girl who comes into her own power in a realistic and heartfelt journey, and I love all her dragons (including the Darkness Dragon and Mama Yoon)!
Beautiful art and wonderful story adapted from a novel. Sexy times are there from the start but the romance is slower paced, as these two lovable idiots learn how to interact with each other and see the best in themselves.
Great story with some of our favorite tropes: found family, magical MC, revenge against crappy birth family, BAMF adoptive mother, absolute sweetheart ML, character growth, and real love and friendship.
Some of the most rage inducing assholes (by design) in the story are tempered only by a fantastic MC who is the ultimate boss of political competence and a puppy like ML who makes you grin every panel he shows up! Never been so excited for divorce
Oh gosh, I cry every time I read this. But I just can’t stop, it’s so good! The Duke is wonderful man with a surprising dry sense of humor and pretty much the best people in the world working for him. MC has had far too much suffering but finds a home at his estate, as well as maybe healing and love?
MC is part of the Siyo tribe, known for their healing skills. As an outcast with black hair, she is sent as a sacrificial concubine to the mad emperor. The secret? Her blood has the power to heal, and she and the emperor build a beautiful relationship of respect and affection. MC is smart, charming, and talented so you really root for her. Side characters are great and she gets vengeance on the tribe that treated her so horribly.
Only two words for this: so sweet! Beautiful story with a delightful lack of drawn out miscommunication issues in order to “develop the plot”. The three major relationships are mature with a fun and not frustrating level of occasional silliness. Shows off Het/Bi/Gay relationships and ML and MC are defined by their love for their families.
A very accurate graphic novel interpretation of one of my favorite books! Alexia, a noble lady living in 1800s London, is constantly caught up in the chaos of the supernatural world which lives alongside the ordinary folk. She’s charming, blunt, funny, and badass by turns-definitely wears the pants in her relationship with the Earl. Special shout out to all the lovable side characters!
Pretty sure this was meant to sell the light novel but it’s an excellent read. I’m all for BAMF FLs, but I always love reading about a women who uses both her wiles and political savvy to solve her problems. The connection to past and future kings is a cool element.
MC is a badass warrior Countess who battles on the front line to protect her territory. Since the king doesn’t want to send anymore support, she tricks him into agreeing to have her wed the prince (who comes with money, soldiers, and support) to protect her people. Great art and interesting premise. Still early in the story, but I have hopes for a good one!
