looking for unproblematic bl stories?

this one is reaaally nice! you might get a bit alarmed seeing the actions of the prince in the beginning but trust me, he’s not a bad guy. he’ll soften up later on, character development am i right? i love the ml’s character, too.. he looks like a school bully but is just a heroic guy who has a terrifying face. they’re really cute once they start getting to know each other <3

NGL, sakuraba avoiding sota (specifically the panel where he snatched his hand away from sota) is annoying, i dislike those “avoiding bae because they prob don’t like me” trope, but in general the manga is cute and the art is also really pretty. i think this is the third time i’ve seen a manga of a man liking shoujo manga lol

here we go again with another natsume isaku work. what can i say, their works are really good and safe to read. this one is a long-running manga and so it has a few misunderstandings and problems between kaburagi and onoe, but fortunately they don’t drag it out and make it ~super frustrating to read~, it’s usually solved in a few chapters and they’re back to being lovey dovey lol. also, this is enemies to lovers. that should be a big enough incentive for some of you to start reading lmao.

do you love enemies to lovers? this one’s for you then. kurihara’s always gotten first place in his tests, until he entered high school and met kawase who steals the spotlight from him. he begins a one-sided rivalry with kawase, being hostile to him, but kawase feels attracted to kurihara instead and they slowly start getting closer. i wish we had some more extras, they’re really cute!

a long-running bl manga! woooooo! another natsume isaku work, this tells the story of two kabuki actors gensuke (junpei) and sougorou (shuugo) who start out as (one-sided) rivals and eventually fall in love. the drama doesn’t drag for a long time, and the story is really good. the angst delivers well too, especially on the past generation’s flashback. that hurt me like a truck, lol. definitely recommended to read if you have lots of free time, this is worth the read for sure!

cute story about an elementary school teacher and one of his student’s father, who turns out to be his past crush during high school. i usually don’t like bl with childhood friends trope or one that has a kid in it, but this was pretty cute and wholesome. would recommend for a light read!

has some smut in the last chapter, but not explicit. mc owns a bento shop formerly owned bg his father, and one day, a man comes in and collapses from hunger…? very cute, very wholesome, i’m glad they’re happy together in the end!! bl stories that are related to food/meals one way or another are so cute.
