historical genre favs

art style is different from what I like, but the great plot overcomes my superficial inclinations. totally invested in following these characters in their lives and seeing my girl come into her own

interesting plot and characters! a refreshing addition to historical genre and a strong/smart female lead who's so funny I love it

an absolute queen, we love her and this story is too funny lmfao. but also the politics and mystery is really keeping me on my toes trying to anticipate the plot reveals/twists!!
update after finishing s2: feels like the plot diverged into something else and characters get sidelined for ages that you don't knoe if their still a potential ML...but most importantly, MC bevomes less likeable

love the MC! she is so intelligent and handles adversity with clever grace and realism.
props to maintaining a sense of historical accuracy and v realistic characters but even if I can understand the context shaping a person's behavior, I ultimately dislike almost everyone except our FL and ML :')

such a capable FL who's both mentally and physically strong! liked that the story felt balanced and kept it interesting (not just focused on romance, which was more like a sweet cherry on top) w some good plot twists!
