really top drawer!

first chapter is a supernatural story. the rest is about step brothers, one of whom loves the other and is rejected, but keeps trying. the differing viewpoints on the incident that broke their relationship and how they both react/recover from it are well-played. decent art.

even when they are not entirely successful, i love the risks this mangaka is willing to take with her characters and storytelling. the sorcerer's apprentice is esp beautiful, eat eat eat is a lil heartbreaking.

oh gosh, it just hits so many things the right way. getting to know each other gently, developing real feelings before moving into the physical, and that the physical is not everything. about a sane, stable relationship built on love and trust, which given kira's job, is esp difficult, and it plays out so beautifully. also liked that they addressed the future. art very nice, sex pretty steamy. really nice read.

very good- felt pretty real, like that the characters grew and recognized their feelings, recognized respect even tho they made mistakes (and admitted to them). they make a really good pair, and i think this is kind of an important message for people who feel marginalized or alone or ashamed bc they have this kind of hobby or lifestyle- there is someone for everyone if you let your honest self be loved.

first chapters and end extras are komano and natsuki, whose story is continued in Kare No Barairo No Jinsei. second couple is about regrets, memories, and moving forward- a little strange, mostly beautiful and hopeful. the extra Rainy Day (ch5.8) is extremely sexy and touching and the art is achingly beautiful.

unique character and plot, story jumps around a bit, but i love seeing the grandfather reminisce about his love through misaki. wish ending elaborated more, but liked what was there. nice art.

felt a little cliche at first, but the characters and the story developed very realistically, with enough personality and twist to keep it fresh. wonderful art as always. really enjoy this mangaka's work.

conflicted about reading bc of the fear of how the 'native' would be portrayed, but the story and characters are built pretty carefully, so no worries there. it IS a problem when you are supposed to find a wife and fall in love with a dude, tho. however, i really love them falling in love and respecting each other as people/souls, then adding the physical. beautiful art. good god qaltalqa is hott.

cute, offbeat story about a guy from the underground who falls in love with a surface dweller, and the government agencies that want to interfere. ending a little disappointing (grow some cajones, daisuke!), but otherwise pretty fun. nice art.
