so funny! love the fudanshi-fanboying-fantasy becomes reality. and so funny! the side story is a little weird, but the conclusion chapter is a great punchline. pretty hott, too.
such pure love! lovely and heartwarming.
doki doki indeed! loved it from start to finish. sweet without being saccharin, fun characters, nice plot, decent art.
very interesting short stories, all kinds of topics and emotions, most are funny, all have a different/off-kilter perspective. really unique manga. i was actually sad when it ended.
soo sweet. really like falling in love.
about an naive young master and his gardener lover, who have kind of a odd dynamic but it works as an idyllic fantasy. the first chapter gives kind of a different impression than the rest of the story, but hang in there. a lot of sexy scenes, but warning for some yaoi hands and long proportions.
actually really liked this story- especially vol 1 before Leon comes in. their relationship develops at a believable pace, they seem to have genuine love and respect for each other, and despite Leon being a pain, he does further develop their bond. love to see two men DATING instead of just the 'falling in love' or 'sexy' bits. really nice.
my god, the art in this one is just so fluid and beautiful. i could look at tatsuyuki and nozomi all day and never get tired of them. i had trouble following some of the translation of the chapters on this site, so i got it from renta, and the story made more sense (tho i do thank the translators for trying!). the story is pretty good- esp if you like yakuza, smut, and dark pasts.
sooo cute and sweet. okumura's stubbornness was beginning to get on my nerves a little bit, and then his reasoning was too adorable. happy love story with real feelings. really like it. i love characters that act like it's their first day on earth. beautiful art, too.
REALLY like this one. wish the first couple's story was longer, but at least it is woven in with the second couple's story. really like the art, the stories, the relationships, feels honest/real emotions. can't wait for more.

What’s top drawer means? Top arts? Or mangas that always draw you to re-read them again and again? XD I love your list btw...
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the list! I always wondered if people understood the reference in the title, so I am so glad you asked about it! And your take on its meaning would have never occurred to me, even though I really do appreciate great art in manga. So, thank you for sharing that.
Anyway, the drawer in 'top drawer' is like a chest of drawers, one you pull out of the wall or a cabinet and put stuff in. The phrase 'really top drawer' is old slang meaning 'of good quality.' It's in the movie 'Auntie Mame' (the Rosalind Russell version)- this snobby woman refers to some of her equally snobby friends as being 'really top drawer' and I always thought it was a funny phrase, so I used it for the title of my list of (in my opinion) 'top quality' manga. You can look up the phrase on YouTube, it's only a couple seconds long and it's worth hearing in all it's affected glory.
Thanks again for asking, you made my day!
Hey I love this list, I'm so glad you put your opinion in the notes too because it helps me get an idea of what to expect more than just the description. Love this, tysm for putting it together. It certainly is "top drawer"!
