Unfortunately plays the "uke makes everyone gay"/"eyes only for you" card, but uke is not a princess, seme isn't initially the type to pursue anyone unless they are interested in him first (chapter dedicated to this), there is no hyper-split of designated gender roles/appearance, and the relationship is one of the healthiest/well balanced you will encounter. Diverse characters, comedic situations, and truly fluff with a heart.
Unlike a lot of all-boys-everyone's-suddenly-gay yaoi, relationships aren't abusive*, the characters are active participants in each others lives, and there is a lot of diversity with character motivation and design. Classic yaoi tropes are present and played with. Reversible characters and couples exist. Extremely funny at times from sheer absurdity.
* There is an exception, but it's not romanticized and recognized as character flaw
Story is confusing at times, and the main couple falls into "eyes only for each other category." Otherwise, this is not a love story as much as a guy finding balance between human world and monster world, and his pet do--I mean, the spider who loves him. Characters are competent, the world is fascinating, females exist, different perceptions of normal add a comedic aspect, and I'm biased to like spiders.
