really well-known and i can honestly say that it deserves all the acclaim. its portrayal of LGBTQ characters and their relationships is just really honest and realistic and painful. it just hits all the right places. i love it. the asexual character may feel a little weird at first, but i'll just think about it as the author's artistic liberty for now.
wasn't really expecting much at first but WOW. took me in for an amazing ride. powerful and honest. the juxtaposition of the main characters' different paths, with emphasis on how happiness can mean different things for different people, is just really written well. i love it. plus points for depicting rape as what it is - terrifying.
art may seem rough for a lot of people. got included in this list because it was so funny. i love the main characters. their relationship was not rushed and things were allowed to really take their time, culminating in an ending that was actually realistic and satisfying.
was putting off reading this at first because it's still ongoing, but first few chapters got me hooked and now it's here. reminds me a lot of the atmosphere of rutta to kodama, even if the plot is hardly similar. it's just their feelings are so pure and fluffy. you see how much each of their concerns mean to them, which sometimes lead to misunderstandings, but in the end, concerns are resolved properly because they actually TALK to each other. it's so sincere.
i am a fucking hoe for furuya nagisa. fucking master of shounen ai. it's all so honest and lovely. in 5 chapters, no unnecessary yaoi cliches, best atmosphere, just pure longing and eventual happiness. to see how both of them developed feelings for each other, is just one of the best things. i keep rereading this because really, nothing can compare.
sequel to kimi wa natsu no naka. i am thankful to be alive bc i was able to read this masterpiece. i swear, i can't get enough of them. their relationship really is the best. for me, it's really how furuya nagisa is able to capture how it actually feels to be in love and care for them. i will never shut up about this. i can make a full ass paper about this couple.
first, i love the art style. nakamura asumiko really has that charm for creating her own atmosphere. the storytelling of j's life is just A+++. it doesn't hold back in its portrayal of its characters and their intentions. it's not always happy, but it's also not always sad. and sometimes, we just need to take charge of what we actually do want. really a masterclass in storytelling. satisfying and fulfilling.
first saw this included in a list for fap material, then it cautioned that it actually had a deep plot. put it off for some time, but when i finally read it, i just felt so honored to be reading such a masterpiece. there's nothing here that wasn't thought of. the author understands their role as a storyteller, and they do it so beautifully. brought me to tears really. there's actual recognition of what is happening in the world, and the importance of writing stories of those most
stayed up until dawn to finish all available chapters. character development and fucking plot is just well written. chapter 24 is a masterclass in storytelling. art is just unbelievably gorgeous. people are getting angry at shin but i believe that it is perfectly acceptable for his current character to be acting the way he is now. of course i'm looking forward to them actually resolving their issues, but all these circumstances are what makes endings so sweet right?
whole atmosphere is giving me i wanna live near the countryside with my lover when i get older. their relationship is unbelievably realistic and warm. please let them be happy forever.
