Oh we love him. Swift in his decisions but somehow narrow minded at the start, which he'll realize himself and have plan of action with regards to his situation for archery. Once the logic sets in his head clears up and he is much more efficient. He's interesting to have as a partner and the pairing they make is pretty nice
the child personality operating and executing commands behind the screen, superimposing planes of intellect and analysis was great. Gorgeous read. As things crumble and there's raw and painful integration of the "inner" child(ren) and reparation of a mind and body that's been torn by neglect and abuse huh
.... Measured, structured, competent, gritty. Another amazing character
It does make the fit with the framework I had in mind for "cold". Emotional detachment and acceptance over a reality that wounds you but hiding it with apparent, gained maturity (or self erasure masquerading as maturity). Those type of unmoved "air-head" characters that have managed to intellectualize and rationalize away their feelings.
Yashiro... probably my favorite character across all media. Yoneda Kou seems to have made light a central theme around Yashiro. I don't have an analysis, I love him, and I have no interest in the other characters besides him
hmm this one involves powerful man with authority. It's an interesting character in the sense that it's someone unmoved, smart and efficient, acting systematically and in response/mirroring a traumatic storyline in his childhood, crafting his whole life around some sort of revenge against his father. It's all planned and calculated performance and actions but, here goes genuine feelings he doesn't know what to make out of. unfortunately I'm only interested in this character and I guess the dog
another really interesting character who is very pragmatic in caring for others (composed). In high school and ultimatum set by his father. And this ultimatum involved another person, which I think in high school rather than examining his own will (and... Desire would be unacurrate in trying to describe his decision process) he lays out his options with considerations of how the other person involved would feel. So the propensity for analysis with a gauge that is other people and not his own.
loved the not unfounded fear of inadequacy and "defectiveness". Devastation over seeing hi brother casually live a life he could never imagine considering the "privilege" (don't get my words out of context since I don't consider animal metaphors like beastars or zootopia to substitute proper racial social analysis) he has over him. it was great to see the tactless and rebellious attitude the brother (and lover) pair had bc of social standing (hereditary) he rejects
