That's a good question, and my honest opinion is...no. He's not. However, he does love Takaba, not for Takaba's gender, or orientation, but for who Takaba is, his personality. That being said, I personally don't think Asami has any feelings for anyone, male or female, except Takaba. Takaba is his only exception...you are my only exception...okay, back to the question.
So to sum it up. I don't think he's gay. I don't think he has feeling for any gender, but Takaba is his exception.
I could be wrong though, that's just my opinion.

hmmm if asami is gay?? well at the verry first moment when he saw aki's photo and heard about him he want to punish him with a pleasure and evil smirk, more when aki jumped off the roof asami found that this frail guy is speacial but in other hand asami said "when i see a boy as chekky and weak as you i can't help but want to torture him" so i don't know if he is gay or bi but aki wasn't his first guy for sure!

I'd reckon Asami's bi. He probably doesn't care one bit whether he's with a man or a woman as long as his bottom half reacts. He's so cool he's above genders ha ha
But what about Aki? If I'm not mistaken Asami was his first, wasn't he? I wonder if Aki would have ever fallen in love with a guy if he'd never met Asami...
Bi makes the most sense. Also, J Unleashed tends to have the most accurate information for this manga so I'll believe her. ^^
