I feel that this will lead into character development for our girl, as she deals with past trauma and finds her true inner strength. (Not that she isn't strong already, it's just that she is mostly putting up a strong extortion, but is so weak and frail inside, hance her reaction to him grabbing her)
is not like I hate her, but I hate when they show women so weak needs a savior on a such simple problem, I just finished latest episode of Korean drama married couple, I was so frustrated, how can she get beaten and cry and do nothing, I cant judge when i dont have trauma, but i think trauma will make people more violent and defensive. well I hope i will never understand their feeling all my life. I hope everyone is safe.
She had been abused for a long time by that man, she's been traumatised. She's a strong woman, but there are wounds that has not healed yet. Experiencing domestic violence is not something you can take lightly. She experienced death but was able to go back to the past and even remembered memories of a past life. Sure, she got stronger and determined than before, but it doesn't mean she can just heal the mental and emotional damage that he inflicted to her. It's kinda like PTSD. You can't blame her for being scared to experience again the pain that she had endured for so long during her past life. Just because she needed to be saved this one time doesn't mean she's weak. She's human, she has flaws. There are moments that she is vulnerable, but it's not like she can't fend for herself completely. She has done many remarkable things already all by herself and she also refuses to be helped by Ian incessantly. And that's why you cannot criticise her for needing someone to stand up for her at that very moment.

this what i can never understand in many scripts, so afraid of pain yet, she does nothing waiting for his abuse.. not one or two, many scripts like that.. i saw in my life women who get into fights with their husband but both parties were injured, she bite she hits, she do anything to defend herself. i saw even women more stronger, and not just cry taking the beating or abuse from family.. in laws or husband.. so I hate when i see this kind of script, I just dont understand it, but I accept that people are weak and human and have traumas.
I understand where you're coming from. I also hate storylines like those. But still, you must take into consideration that she's not those usual weak FLs.. She's working on her disposition, she's trying to be brave. But not all efforts bear fruit immediately. She has taken her own steps to fight against Howard, but it's just that an outright assault from him, with him grabbing both her wrists and shouts at her, caused her to panic and be scared. I'd actually applaud the author for this situation because it enhances the realism of this story. Just because she was able to return to the past with past-life memories doesn't mean she will immediately turn into a completely invincible person. She changed tremendously, that's a fact. However, there is still parts of her that she cannot shake off yet. And this makes her journey even more enjoyable to watch, because you were able to see her progress even more although she already improved so much. Just like how you can only pursue beauty from ugliness, you can only pursue strength through weakness and perfection from flaws. I am by no means trying to degrade your thoughts. I just wanted to let you see the other side of the coin. I hope you will take it with a grain of salt. (￣∇￣")

thanks for sharing your opinion, as I said before I dont hate her Infact she is more amazing than myself as how much she accomplished, I didnt even said I hate her or said she is bad, my comment was about the satiation that I completely felt that the author only wanted the prince charming to come and save the weak pitiful girl.. to show his strong side and strong love.. to me this scene was staged for teenagers who will be happy to see the prince come to save the princess, I would accept it if it was with a weapon or dangerous . but to me this whole scene was ridiculous . but in the end they told him to let her take her own revenge to overcome her fears

No, see, he's no stranger, that's the thing. When you've been beaten senseless by a partner, someone you love and were meant to fully trust and rely on, it fucks your brain so bad. If it were someone else, maybe she could have pushed him off a ledge or something. But they had HISTORY. A really bad one as well. Mind you, she was also tipsy--a detail we could highlight here. I see no problem that someone saved her in this scene. It's a collaborative effort anyway. She helps him, he helps her.

This is totally different from just being strong... even in reality the abused will hear things like why they didn’t defend themselves or get away from the relationship but it isn’t that easy. I know you are (probably) applying this to the entertainment section but it’s still super rude of you to say that... for the story the MC was abused and she had no power over it, it’s not like she could just scream in the mansion for help since there was no one to help her... her reaction this chapter was a result of PTSD from her past, it’s the fear she’s gained from Griffon’s abuse... maybe you’ve watched too many drama shows to not give a shit about human trauma it shouldn’t be something you should get annoyed about...

Yes, some people DO get stronger from their trauma. However, IT TAKES TIME to do this. And in this case, Iris is still in this period of overcoming it. That is why she reacted like how anyone would after being beaten for so long. You lose hope in your ability to 'win' against them. You can only try your best to not trigger them and make it hurt more. Also, are you looking down on the majority of people who don't get over their trauma? They are victims, not fools... Iris certainly isn't a fool if you've been reading the story at all.
The only thing I agree with is it is nice for stories to teach people to stand up themselves which this story ALREADY is! She is already making a name for herself! Plus, the story hasn't even ended yet ended yet you've made that conclusion. You need patience.

Omg girlll seriously...I don’t think this has anything to do with being a male or female, like anyone could be in this situation and feel helpless. Have u ever seen or read about real life violences then u would understand how victims suffer. To call them excuses is really hurtful for victims who have been through these experiences.. and Iris was abused by her own husband whom sge must have trusted and she didn’t have anyone else to rely on...not everyone can transform into a superhuman and just deal with it.
