I mean, holy crap, this is the first time I've seen this kind of scene in a manga, bringing out the 'rape/rapist' word (calling a spade a spade). I haven't read the rest of the chapters, so I'm eager to see how the mangaka handles the aftermath. And, Nemugasa turning around and asking Maya what a 'raper' was--fucking brilliant. It really brought out how warped Nemu's remembrance/interpretation of what he and Maya did (which we kind of knew anyways) as well as driving home for the audience what they're, currently lovey-dovey, relationship was built on. For me, this was like a splash of cold water to the face, you've read chapter upon chapter of them working through their relationship, wearing rings, kissing/hugging/holding hands, cementing this image of them being totally in love (which they are), and then you're reminded that Maya did blackmail, sexually assault, and RAPE Nemu. That's how their "relationship" began. For Nemu it was to innocently clarify an incorrectly said term, for the audience it was like a fucking accusation. And the way Maya reacts with the flinch on the previous page, before Nemu even asks the question...golden.
