This was my first introduction to the Harem genre and it made me really hate it.
It is a really good story, diluted and sandwiched by a lot of filler. The two main characters, Kaoru and Aoi, are so lovely and their story and interactions always makes me smile. But then some of the other characters jump in and ruin it. Mind you, some are good, fun characters but this genre works better for boys, I think.
I think the error here was that the story may have been made with that audience (Seinen) in mind but it was very popular with girls. And I hated when nonsense pulled the main pair apart.
But the overall story was really great: Kaoru's background story, Aoi's devotion, their interactions, how thoughtful and grown up they are with each other. They were ready to commit to each other early on and I looked forward to their lives together...
Kind of disappointed with the ending, I would have hope Aoi had had a child by then ╥﹏╥
Tina really got on my nerves with her feelings, She made it seem like she was giving Kaoru and Aoi permission to be together, Like WTF??! You aren't that relevant to affect their love or future together. I understand she had to cope with the "rejection" but making people feel like you're allowing them to be together so stupid and then to still do that shit in front of Aoi and you call yourself her friend? (╬￣皿￣)凸
I dont like the ending! All the girls likes Kaoru they kiss a guy even though they no that kaoru has a fiance! and the worst off all kissing infron her! There no clear end! seem all girls cant move on to Kaoru" Tsssk.. Kaoru letting other girls kiss him ramdom infron of the girl he like! Suck!!!! i hope it show a good end!
Well, it's a harem, so who cares? If you really need an explanation, Tina clearly says than Aoi gave her permission, so don't sweat it, right? No, honestly, this didn't bother me that much. There were much worse moments earlier, imho. But at this moment in the story their love is already so deeply established and clear to everybody that it doesn't bother those two at all.
