The last time I read this was when I was 16. I'm in my 20s now and it's still makes me happy and sad at the same time. It was sad that they died, but I was happy because they were together again and that's all that mattered.
I love this manga! The bittersweet ending is so sad, yet so satisfying! But, I have one question about the plot. Okay, so Ion wanted to destroy the world because he didn't like the idea (system) of life and death?
Did Chrono and Rosette die together at the end. when she had her attack and the fact that Chrono had the watch which was placed near the memory photo place. And there wasn't an extra bouquet for Rosette from Chrono. Also when she was on the 'train' she said he wasn't there and that why she went back... so maybe they went on the 'train' together this time and he's buried with her...
I always believed that the two of them died together. I also like to think she lived a little longer after he came back, because if she just died right in his arms at that moment... can't even put it into words I'd be so upset

Which is the reason her grave was not disclosed to the public, cuz chrono's body was entombed alongside hers. cuz like judgingfrom his appearance on the last chapter he's looking all human who's foot is in the grave. Practically a mummy with all those bandages.

BRAVO! BRAVO!!!! Everything was so perfect! I couldn't resist not to finish this in one day! I couldn't even take my eyes off the monitor!!! This will always be my most favorite anime ever and I'm so proud to tell to the whole world that I fell in love with anime because of Chrono Crusade! And it'll still stay as my favorite ever! Both manga and anime are awesome! The best as always!!!! <3 I would really like to thank Daisuke Moriyama for making this masterpiece with all of my heart and all of the scanlators, translators and staffs for their hardwork! I wish they had a kid. That way a part of them could have lived on. Story wise: Rosette could have gotten pregnant before Chrono went of to fight Aion. And since Chrono was away, for at least a couple of years. Rosette could have had the baby. But because she wouldn't live for very long. She could have sent the baby of to be fostered by some one else. Maybe at the orphanage where she used to be.
Basically I just want more. This story is to short.
And the kid could grow up and go on advetures with the girl with the magic crystals. Though I guess the kid would have to have traveled to the future, since the crytal girl was turned to stone for a very long time.

He wanted to make the whole world demonic, so that no one would have to die again? Or am I missing something?
He wanted to destroy the barriere between humans' world & demons' world, that's why he wanted to destroy Pandæmonium (their home) to be free at last
NO Ion is trying to kill everyone on the planet and start a new world where there is only demonic beings meaning anyone not supernatural is a goner.
Damn I cried so much just in this one story... it was so good but so fucki mg sad. But I love every but bit of it.
