To anyone reading this for the first time: 1: This manga and it's prequel are DECADES old already. Unfortunately, they are as complete as they ever will be. There will be no new updates. Matoh-sensei hasn't even published anything since 2014. She's probably retired. 2: the two mangas, Fake and Fake 2 we're drawn nearly a decade apart from each other. That is why there's such a dramatic shift in the art between the two series. 3: This is just my personal feeling, but I like to think of Fake 2 and the extras as just that, extras. The first 7 volumes of Fake is as good as it gets and anything else is gravy.
as someone said it below, the author actually dropped fake to focus on her other shoujo pieces so theres no update and no signs of her getting back at drawing the sequel or extras of fake, its such a shame
So what that Sanami Matoh changed her art style!!!!! It's part of life that people change, so let them change!!!!!! You can't force people to keep everything the same forever!!!!!!
Plus it's her work and she can draw HOWEVER SHE WANTS!!!!!Â

I heard the series was cancelled due to poor sales. I knew she was shooting herself in the foot when she paired off all the rival love interests with other people early on; it completely destroyed the anticipation of having persistant rejected love interests trying to tear the established couple apart. There was no romantic drama, so it felt like it wad wrapping things up from the last arc instead of starting a new one.
why do you not have the Fake DJ-Backstage Pass...if you are looking for good stuff...it's in that. But i am so happy Matoh-sensei continued with this story!

Imagine you went to work tomorrow & everyone in your office had plastic surgery work done on their faces. It would fuck with your head.
Thid is hardly the only manga with such a dramatic art shift though. Yami no Matsuei, Gravitayion, & With Love from Eroica did it too.
