reread as it was my favourite manga when i was in middle school and... what happened???? I frowned at every relationship the autor was writing about and i cared only about arima and yukino but then EVEN SHE ISN'T AS SMART AND BIRTHS THE BABY AND THE BABY IS IN LOVE WITH ASABA IS THIS TWILIGHT???????????????? WHY????? i'm disappointed. And Arima should had been in therapy since he was little
Remember reading this back in middle school and now rereading it now it was lowkey problematic but at the same time I understand why I love this manga and why I hold it dearly still hits the same
To be honest I dont know what the heck happened at the end but since the beginning was interesting let's act like I totally understood the ending The middle was just really meh!.. .a lot of things the author was trying to show as good and ok...personally were not (didnt convince me enough...sorry, not sorry) So in conclusion the beginning was really what saved this manga...and I'm done!
Despite the rushed ending (which let us face the fact that most long-running shoujo manga have this fult), this was a pretty decent manga and I really enjoyed reading this. Personally, I like this classic style shoujo manga story as compared to a lot of the overly dramatized modern ones. The characters here have a lot of depth and are not a one-dimensional trope and the characters are properly fleshed out considering the large cast, that's quite difficult. There was no unnecessary extra drama, like absolutely no drama for the sake of a "plot" (or lack of one), every dramatic moment added to the build-up of the overall plot and/or character development.
Okay started off as the best romance manga ever with a good female lead and a good male lead decent plot compared to others but the ending was so rushed and sooooo baaaaadddd

The manga ended 2005 and Twilight came out 2005... it's more like Twilight used Kare Kanos ending... ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
