As the king, i hated him. I thought he lacked lot of the traits needed to be a good king. Such as being sound and a good judge of character and skills. As a person I pitied him. He lived such a sad life.
The real Ludwig II has a distaste for Prussia, so seeing that replicated here was pretty good too. It was pretty infuriating to see his own government betray him in order to be part of Germany, especially since within 3 decades the empire, by which that jackass Count Holnstein had forced Ludwig to be a part of, had become the 3rd Riech.
Well...for me, this is a nice manga. Not bad even though its a sad ending. But Ludwig's deathwas still a mystery. Some said he committed suicide while others...he was murdered while attempting escape. At that time, The Nationalists want him to depose from the throne by declaring him INSANE...and can't rule with that condition. But anyway...He's one hell of a SWAN KING. I hope the author will someday make a manga on another twisted monarch like Ludwig II ...Thats Queen Christina of Sweden ( The Tomboy king)!

Some part of me still wished he has escaped & spent the rest of his life living in the mountains with Horing or that the last few pages would be about them meeting again after being reincarnated in modern times ╥﹏╥ the story reminds me of Amasakaru
