I'm sad for Kira's death, but I'm relieved that at least his sibling will have a new beginning. Also, the fact that he is going to have a new name makes me feel like they are not going to treat him as if he were the Kira they new (since thay look the same) but a different individual being. Wow, this manga was a rollercoaster. What a masterpiece.

You should read all of their conversations. If you miss one, you might misunderstood completely. Most of hagio moto's mangas are like that. Most mangas put a huge speakbubble for important conversations. But she put important conversations in a normal speakbubble just like every other conversations. And yeah, sometimes you might miss the important things...
