I don’t think Usopp, Luffy, Buggy or Luffy’s one revolutionary brother’s backgrounds were bad. Come to think of it White Beard had a sad end but his backstory was pretty happy
Im glad to see more of brooks past and how hes tied to shuri (i do think the boobs comment was absolutely disgusting but we'll arrest oda after the end of one piece) and i dont think every reader can be pleased, ive seen lots of ppl complain that the strawhats were getting underdeveloped after the timeskip but when oda gives them more background the same ppl will complain about diverting attention from the current arc to flashbacks... i dont have an opinion on that but its one piece u know if ur expecting it to have a good pace just give up
FR I miss pre time skip too, so much. Now the humour is gone, both fighting and the plot is all over the place and we hardly get to see the main characters that we actually tune in for.
This is exactly like what happened with Naruto, it stopped being about Ninja just as One Piece seems to have stopped being about Pirates. As soon a Mu was unveiled I literally groaned and rolled my eyes, it was like Kaguya all over again.
Also, can Oda please stop being such a backstory merchant already? I just want more actual plot progression, and for the story to move way faster! Also I’m dying to see the Blackbeard Pirates again and my absolute favorite, Kuzan. And honestly… am I the only one who wants Kuzan to just be loyal to them? Not in the way you might you think loyalty is, i just meant he NOT a spy or a double agent. I just want him to stick by Blackbeard’s side simply because it lets him do whatever he needs to to reach his own goals, that’s all.
i don’t think he’s going to be a double agent, but more of trying to survive. later on during the story i definitely do see him joining the strawhats side in the war, as he’s always been the type to be on the side of good. if you get what im saying.
