i watched the anime when i was 15 years old. now that i'm 30, i read the manga for the first time. and it hits different. a good different. the ending makes so much sense. it's bittersweet, however, it's realistic.
I love the ending, others may disagree but its a very realistic ending. If carrie joined george, she would just rely on him. i mean she could become a model there to but you have to think of multiple possibilities why it wouldnt work out. And considering theyve just met in a monthish(i actually dont know but i think its been a month) it rlly wont work. For me love takes time, in love you have to make sacrifices, anything other than that is infatuation. Thats kinda why I prefer friends to lovers^^
Every few months I read the last chapter to make myself feel something it was the best possible ending. They just weren’t for each other you can’t run life with just love alone.
It makes me so happy to see that Caroline made the right decision. She had maturity beyond her years, because I know if I was in that situation at that age I'd have jumped on that boat with Georgio without a single hesitation. Yazawa Ai is one of my all-time favorite mangakas. The worlds she creates are so vast, yet meta at the same time.
This is one if my favorite mangas AND anime (I wanna do anything to protect my gem)
Y'all this is a coming-of-age story with a VERY realistic ending. The ending isn't shit (imo), they both have to grow up and make sure they have a future. They separated because it's the BEST for them. They HAVE to think about themselves because it's their FUTURE we're talking about. It's not like they wanted to breakup but it was the best option.
This manga isn't going to give you the shoujo vibes where both MCs end up living happily ever after. That's the beauty of this story.
They are very young, they broke up, pursue their passion, and mc finds a new love. It's honestly sad but beautifully written, and very realistic. ╥﹏╥
Ok the anime made the finance look like a random old man..... That’s why I didn’t like the ending at first. But once I read the last page of the manga I liked it. George was a highschool type boyfriend in my opinion they wouldn’t have worked out even if he stayed because he was always busy and he’s a flirt and the mc obviously wouldn’t like that.
i like the ending actually, it has a realistic feeling. george and parakiss team changed her life forever, she found what she wants to do thanks to them. but for love, george and yukari wasn't fit for each other. they both keep hurting themselves by this relationship. love isn't enough just by itself; love needs much of sacrification, understanding etc. and they aren't the type who'd change or leave some things just because of love. they chose their own life and dreams as their priority, and eventually she found what she wants in love i think because she seems happy with hiro. but that still doesn't change the fact george had a big influent on her life, as you can see im the final page. people come and go, and george was one of the biggest experiences she had in her life. that's life
what a journey. i kinda feel empty and sad about the ending but i understand it, they both needed to grow, too much toxicity. but i still love them, such a powerful couple
