If your main reason for reading this is romance it isn’t going to be that fulfilling. Since the story is more centered around growing through our faults and changing for the better. It teaches lessons around outer appearance and accepting others for themselves (including ourselves). Which all revolves around a couple of boys in school navigating through their social and personal life (with a dash of romance). In the end we’ve connected and understand the characters enough to be satisfied with their own choices in life. And hopefully trust that they can still work through their hardships/happiness weather it includes love or not. Though the story does take a dip into romance it doesn’t change the dynamic of the characters objective but rather their inner values/mindset. Which result into a high level of introspection and self awareness (main point of the story). But I agree that it would’ve been nice to have a ending where we see all of them together. And get more romance but I’m satisfied with what the story gave.
Okay, I ship Aoi x Kaidou and I still feel bad that Aoi confessed to Kaidou but Kaidou didn't get it, but I think the ending is awesome. Still though, I hope there's more of Aoi x Kaidou(╥ω╥`) uuugh my feelings...
