i know that as fans, people would always want stories they like to continue on forever. it’s just the way people are. but i don’t think it was necessarily required here. slam dunk isn’t hanamichi’s entire basketball journey – it’s just his journey from playing basketball because someone he loved wanted him to, to playing basketball because he himself loved it.
isn’t it okay to conclude a story once that point has been reached? a story cannot go on forever. ending it whenever is what a creator is always allowed.
This is one of my favorite anime since elementary. And i never continued reading the manga because of the author. i wished the anime continued but the author refuses despite its popularity around the world during its time. The sponsors wanted the shohuko to go national but the author didnt want too. He made them lost and Akagi and mitsui were not gonna be part next year. And its bad route for sakuragi without akagi. He was his mentor and guide, The author shouldve made it possible but he didnt. I mean team shohuko was so strong already because of their individual potential. They deserve to win.
And now I watched the anime again and I miss the characters its like they are part of me growing up. i want to read the manga to see the end but i saw some post. Why do authors like juju kaisen do this ? Why they make beloved characters end miserably. It feels like the beginning why end it so badly. ,
I finally finished up my first sports manga. Man, this is one of the best manga I ever read (followed by Vagabond that was still in hiatus ╥﹏╥ ). Now I’m wondering why I never tried to get in the hype of this during my childhood. Basketball was the main sport in our country. Anyway, what happened to love life of Hanamichi lol I was expecting they somehow end up at the end of the story (づ￣ ³￣)づ
I maybe a bad person to say this but the author is like the #1 hater of this anime. He discontinued making this manga when this anime/manga get a sold million copies worldwide and good ratings in japan. And the fact he leave the fans hanging for what will going to happen to shohoku for at more than 2 decades. And the movie of this anime that just got release in 2023 is so hyped up got us so disappoint because of the graphic work and feels like rushed when it fact we waited for so many years for it. SLAM DUNK DESERVE BETTER AND SO THE FANS DESERVE!!!!!!

I cried the end, which I was Not expecting, but I’m glad on everything I have witness and Hanamichi is a green flag in disguise
