I was considering coming back to read this cuz I remember it being really cute and wholesome but after seeing these comments on how it ends... probably best this stay shelved
I can't believe people here defending this... You all love grooming way too much bruh... I mean if you are teens i can understand you don't have that much understanding of alot of things but adults with their fully grown ass be defending shit like this is a sign of a mental illness or criminally sus. Heard anime is good coz it didn't show this disgust so that's a different story but knowing the whole story and defending it saying they both are adults and whatever all i can think about your poor childhood and pray to god for some healing for you guys.
They are not related. She was adopted by her grandfather. This is revealed in his will and by her mother when she goes to him for advice about her feelings for Daikichi. He never raised Rin with the any in intention other than to be a father. She is the one who changed the relationship when she made her feelings known. But even then their relationship did not change immediately or become something explicit.
This is one of the better stories I have read because other than last couple of chapters it could have had any number of endings. Rin could have ended up Kouki if they she had seen his mature side. Daikichi could have married the mom if he were a little more assertive which I think she kind of wanted from him but he gave up too quickly. But this is the path the mangaka chose. Like mother like daughter. But who knows who Rin’s real bio dad is or how old he was. This was pretty tame for the direction this headed in. The Japanese usually never hold back (⊙…⊙ )
