Tamiya meets Tohdou at Teinou University, a school for kids from well-off families. Tamiya is shocked at the different values that Tohdou and his friends have their just a bunch of good-time students paying no mind to classes or studies,Tamiya is not as out-going as most college students he does things his own way not going along with the crowd.. They turn on their own the minute times are bad like with Tohdou when the news came out about his father they avoided him and the whispering started.. Tamiya and Tohdou have a curious friendship with many ups and down between them and those around them. As graduation nears, the two friends strike up a fledgling love.
